Revelation 3:8 (New International Version)
I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.

The child is the beauty of God present in the world – that greatest gift to a family.” (Blessed Teresa of Calcutta)

We have our travel Date!!

This morning I woke up knowing very well it was Thursday. Thursdays are the days that families get submitted to the SDA. I figured maybe as they were submitting families they may just give our facilitator some hint of information about us. Well, I waited to hear from Nancy (our state side coordinator), I peaked over to our FSP to see if it still had $25...I think we all do this once in a while. I love seeing the 25 it is so much better than the zero. It means so much. Anyways, that is when I saw THE DATE. What did I do?? Scream of course! Yelling my husband's name and some of the oldest kids names. When they came into the den I was jumping up and down and they joined in. I didn't know what to do so I called my mother :)) Anyways, It has been a combination of making travel/flight plans, making sure to switch doctor appointments for the kids and a lot of walking back and forth kissing all the kids and thanking the Lord many many times. At one point I was crying just feeling blessed that God has given us so many beautiful gifts and here he was blessing us again. I felt as if we didn't deserve it. Thank you God.
We have 10 days to get ready.

  4. I am James McDermott. My wife Cindy and I have been blessed by God with 13 children. We also homeschool and above all, we are Christians. We recently started a website called Christian family meeting place (www.christianfamilymeetingplace.com). Many who hold our views are isolated and are looking for online fellowship, personal fellowship, churches, and even spouses. I am inviting you to register. It is free. If you're not interested, that is perfectly fine. May God bless you in all you do for Him. - In the Vine, Jim for Cindy and the rest
P.S. We also publish SALT Magazine. If you would like to check us out go to www.saltmagazine.com

  5. Hi Jenny! My husband (Jeff) and I will be in country at the same time as you. In fact, I believe Benjamin is in the same orphanage as our Sasha! :) We hope to be able to meet up with you, if you're interested and if we can make it happen! Interestingly enough, Jeff is also a nurse and loved his time working in pediatrics! You can e-mail me if you'd like: twt1234@msn.com.
