Revelation 3:8 (New International Version)
I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.

The child is the beauty of God present in the world – that greatest gift to a family.” (Blessed Teresa of Calcutta)

Trying to get the dossier together.

Well, Yesterday was a combination of doing housework caught up and doing my dossier. I am happy to say that I did get some of both completed. The baby's room is all done. Floor is washed and it looks great. I was able to get 2 papers notarized and asked my mom to pick up certified copies of our marriage certificate. The 171-H has not arrived yet but we heard that it would be mailed the end of this week. It would be great if I could have my entire dossier completed before it arrived. The kids are so excited especially the 2 oldest. My daughter wanted to buy clothes for them but I cannot remember what size they are.
We have been thinking of names and we are very sure of one name being Ian Reece that would be Maxim's new name. Here is a picture of him at the orphanage. He always wears this hat.

We are adopting again! 2010

Well, Our last adoption was finalized one year ago (August). We left Ukraine with many different feelings, one of those was sadness that we would not see these kids left behind again. We were sad that we would not see Ukraine again. We had become attached to this country because it was our new children's first home. Yes, the entire process of adoption was draining. We went into a land that we did not know the language. We were not sure if we would be rejected once we arrived. Steven was very nervous about going international. The Virgin Islands, Jamaica and Aruba was as far as Steven had gone. I having traveled to Portugal so many times as a child and traveling to Yugoslavia at 17 (for a pilgrimage) was less fearful of traveling internationally. There were initially so much fear but through it was hope. The hope came like slivers of light that would shine through our doubt. We knew this was God's plan.
So how did we make this decision to return? Well, once we were settled in there were 3 children that frequently came to mind. These 3 children were older and their potential for transfer was great and it still is until we return. Why these 3 children? It is amazing how you can look at a child and have a connection. So the race has started to do the paper chase all over again. Are we happy Yes. Are our children happy..Yes. They are so excited. Our son Elijah would like to travel with us again.
So here goes we have a very short time to raise the money and get our paperwork done.
