Hello everyone,
This is something I do not like to do and that is ask for any donations but I have to put my feelings aside and ask. Please do not give if you are in anyway struggling financially, prayers are just as important so please just pray that God will ease the way and put those who are able to help on our path. Adoption is a commitment from the beginning and saving money has been our goal. I have worked a second job during this commitment time in order to raise the money needed. We have also shared our story with many people. It is not easy to raise funds for an adoption (as many of my RR families are very aware of). I think when you have a large family it is even tougher. I think you get forgotten at church, family and work and people just assume you do not need any help financially because "you have done this before". Yikes, Exactly, why we do need help. We know we have the ability, patience, love and knowledge of special needs to help these children but our love and work does not end there. These children require many doctor visits when they arrive to the US and even though we are blessed with health insurance there are still co-payments etc. and time off from work in order to help the kids get situated. Ian will require facial reconstruction. As you can imagine that will not be easy for him but.... he will have a mom and dad to support him through all of it. He will have a life outside of the institution. If you are able to donate please click on the button on the right where our children are profiled (it will be tax deductable through Reeces Rainbow). Please pass the word. We appreciate it. Our goal would be to raise enough money for the children's visas/passports/embassey exams and travel home. God Bless.
