Well, we would have written sooner but we do not have any internet access in the apartment. They have tried changing modems but still no luck and with the holidays coming I am sure walking to the cafe will be our only way to connect. So let me back track. We missed our first plane and had to wait until the next flight out of NC which instead of 2:30pm it was 5:30pm (not bad). Thank you to Golden Rule travel for helping us. We had a wonderful flight to Washington other than being separated (all 3 of us sat in different areas of the plane. Steven sat down to a Pilot who had also adopted 2 children so they got along great, Elijah sat next to a mom who apologized to him about the baby kicking him (he said she almost feel out when he said, "that's ok, I have 13 brothers and sisters" LOL I sat next to Adam a UNC student (sorry I know I talked your ear off about Reeces Rainbow and adoption). Once we arrived to Washington we only had a 2 hour wait then off to Munich Germany! The flight was LONG and by this time I was tired. They do serve alot of food and I do love flying Lufthansa the flight crew are always nice. We then took the next plane to our capitol city. Our taxi was waiting. It was Uncle Niko. It was so nice to see him after a year. We went to the apartment after exchanging money and buying some bread and cheese. We went to the apartment and slept..slept and slept. Then next day Thursday we went to the SDA where we met the Clarks. They had just finished their appointment and we were next. They took down our information and we were given an appointment to return the next day to pick up the referrals 2 of the 3. The plan is to start the process on 2 of the 3 children and then add the 3rd so that all can be combined in one court date. Well, anyways Friday after picking up the 2 children's paperwork we drove around the city. Our taxi driver has a son who does break dancing and hip-hop dancing (he has his own studio). We went there so that Steven who also danced (back in the day) could exchange some music and see the studio. Elijah enjoyed it but I think Steven had the most fun. Niko's son is Alex (Sasha here). Well, here are some pictures. So what do we do now. Now we have to wait until the holidays go by (Sun, Mon, Tues) and then we pray that our piece of dossier (one paper that the SDA required for us in particular) arrives so that we can have permission to proceed from here. Thank you to our awesome social worker who has helped get this paper for us, my awesome friends Stephanie and Nese who have made the phone calls needed besides keeping all my kids and thanks to Claudia my daughter who has emailed me to keep me updated of when to expect the paper to arrive. Please please pray for these wonderful people in our lives. Without them these kids would sit this Christmas with no presents, tree, mom and dad. Here are some pictures.
